NU Congress Participants Want to Pay Respects, Tebuireng Jombang Cemetery Open 24 Hours
Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School in Jombang is opening access to the scholars' cemetery for a full 24 hours from August 26–31, 2026, coinciding with the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress. This policy makes it easier for congress participants and Nahdliyin members who wish to visit the graves of figures such as NU founder Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy'ari, KH Wahid Hasyim, KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), and KH Salahuddin Wahid (Gus Solah).
Mudir V for Formal Education at Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, KH Achmad Roziqi, confirmed that cemetery access is open nonstop to accommodate the increased number of pilgrims. The boarding school will also coordinate with the security team to manage the flow of arrivals.
In addition to the cemetery, the complex is the resting place of KH Yusuf Hasyim (Pak Ud) and KH Adlan Aly (Mbah Delan). Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School has also put up flags and congratulatory banners for the congress as a form of welcome.
