Ahead of the NU Congress, Jombang Residents Hold Khatmil Qur'an at 3,500 Gatherings

Nahdliyin folks in Jombang Regency held a massive, simultaneous Khatmil Qur'an on Sunday (8/23) at around 3,500 gatherings. This activity is a spiritual effort to pray for the smooth running and blessings of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress. The Khatmil Qur'an started after the dawn prayer and went until 1 PM WIB, with the main event at the Jamik Great Mosque in Jombang. The gatherings were spread across mosques, prayer rooms, LP Ma'arif NU educational institutions, and Islamic boarding schools. Miftahus Saidin, the Vice Secretary of PCNU Jombang, said the target of 3,500 gatherings was reached as planned. The whole thing was coordinated step by step by MWC NU, PRNU, and related institutions, with supervision from PC Jam'iyyatul Qurra' wal Huffazh (JQH).
