Why does my heart linger at a locked door?

Assalamu alaikum I can't stop myself. My heart remains stuck in what’s gone. Even though all signs show the door is firmly shut and not meant for me, I can't let go. My heart stays there, still hoping. I’ve tried everything within my ability to move forward and convince my heart that Allah, in His wisdom, has closed this door. Yet my heart keeps returning. Please, any advice?
