Why did Allah allow my mistakes to be revealed?

I'm not a flawless Muslim, honestly. I'm in my early 20s, just trying to navigate life. I knew I had some sins I needed to drop and was working on getting closer to my deen, bit by bit. But then, my mom somehow found out about these things. Now she's shaming me, completely unaware that I've been repenting and asking Allah for forgiveness. She keeps saying that Allah showed her the truth. I'm so confused-why would this happen from an Islamic standpoint? It's broken me, really, because it's shattered how my family sees me.
