Can a trans woman who doesn’t believe yet keep attending the mosque?
Assalamu alaikum. I’m a trans woman, but I was born male. When I go to the mosque, I dress and present as a man to respect Islamic guidelines. I’m not ready to consider converting-honestly, I’m not sure I ever will. Still, something in me feels really drawn to the mosque. Just being there gives me a sense of calm, especially listening to the Quran and the prayers. I enjoy speaking with the imam too. I love a lot about Islam, but my lack of belief and being trans makes conversion unlikely right now. So, is it okay for me to keep coming to the mosque? I’ll stop if it’s seen as disrespectful.
