E-Sports Kapolri Cup 2026 Closes, Listyo Sigit Invites Young Generation to Become Kamtibmas Ambassadors
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially closed the E-Sports Kapolri Cup 2026 at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta (9/8). The competition was participated by 35,936 participants from 34 Regional Police and 403 District Police. Three MURI records were achieved: Most Gen Z Cosplay Parade (117 participants), Most Gen Z Cybersecurity Competition (734 participants), and Most Inauguration of Gen Z Cyber Kamtibmas Ambassadors (27,686 participants).
Kapolri appreciated the participants' enthusiasm and considered e-sports now not just a game, but a national and international achievement sport. He targets a tenfold increase in participants next year through regular regional-level competitions.
Besides encouraging achievement, Kapolri invites the young generation to become Kamtibmas Ambassadors. They are expected to encourage peers to avoid counterproductive activities like brawls, illegal racing, and vandalism, as well as prevent digital threats such as hoaxes, hate speech, and online gambling.
