Please Make Dua for My Father’s Recovery
Assalamu alaikum everyone, My father, 54, had a sudden tear in his aorta last Sunday. He is a very devout man, alhamdulillah. I’ve never met anyone so strong in faith-so gentle, kind, and loving. He helps everyone he can. He never missed Fajr prayer, and I’d often hear him reciting the Quran for hours. His voice is truly beautiful. Always smiling, he took great care of me and my three siblings our whole lives. An aortic dissection is often deadly. He made it to the hospital just in time for emergency surgery, which lasted 17 hours. He had a tear and needed a bypass. Sadly, he’s not improving now. His heart is very weak and depends fully on meds to keep him alive. He’s on a ventilator and getting dialysis because his kidneys started to fail. One of the meds, vasopressin, is cutting off blood flow to his ears, nose, fingers, and toes. Seeing him like this has shaken us. My brother is only 21. We need our father. I can’t eat or sleep. Please, please make dua for him tonight. I’m a stranger to you all, but I ask that Allah grants each of you whatever your heart desires. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
