How do so many of us Muslim brothers and sisters become doctors without loans?
Ever since I started my studies, I've dreamed of going to medical school. I've got friends and family on the same path, and honestly, I see loads of Muslims who are already doctors. But here's the thing-since we can't take out loans with interest, how in the world are they managing it? Is everyone really just dealing with the interest, or am I missing something? I'm in the U.S. and my heart is totally set on med school. I've got the grades and the drive, but not the hundreds of thousands of dollars it takes, alhamdulillah for my covered undergrad though. Even my advisors and family keep asking why I'm not going for it-trust me, I want to! It's tough feeling stuck like my dream's slipping away. On a side note, I know about ACC, but from what I hear, it doesn't cover everything for med school. Merit scholarships are rare, and other programs that pay tuition are super competitive. Honestly, I don't know what to think, but insha'Allah there's a way.
