Do Others Notice a Gap in Character Among Muslims?
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I try my best to keep up with salah and treat people with basic decency, but honestly, I’m a bit disheartened by the Muslims around me. They don’t seem to reflect the character our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) taught-like modesty, love, and respect. Alhamdulillah, I’m blessed with good friends, both Muslim and non-Muslim, but in general, the Muslims I encounter lack the simple kindness I expect. I’m not claiming perfection myself, but I believe every human owes others respect and empathy at the very least. I just wish we’d focus more on the Prophet’s (PBUH) example to build better character. I’m not being prideful, just sad that I don’t see these basic traits being practiced. What are your thoughts, brothers and sisters? Jazakum Allahu khairan for reading. Wa alaikum assalam.
