PCNU Jombang Calls on Residents and Mosque Caretakers to Enliven NU Congress
The Jombang Branch Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) has issued an organizational instruction to ensure the success of the 35th NU Congress on August 27–31, 2026, at Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas, Jombang. The instruction is directed at all structural and cultural levels of NU, Nahdliyin members, educational institutions, and mosque and prayer room caretakers. PCNU Jombang Chair KH Fahmi Amrullah urged the installation of promotional materials such as banners, billboards, and signs at strategic locations.
Beyond visual outreach, PCNU has instructed a simultaneous Quran khataman on August 23, 2026, at NU offices, autonomous body headquarters, Islamic boarding schools, educational institutions, mosques, and prayer rooms as a spiritual effort. Traditional Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah practices like Istighotsah, Tahlil, Shalawat Burdah, and collective prayers are also encouraged. KH Fahmi hopes these efforts will create a safe, smooth, and conducive atmosphere during the Congress.
PCNU Jombang requests mosque and prayer room caretakers to prepare clean, comfortable, and presentable worship facilities to serve congress participants. Residents are urged to maintain friendliness, security, and cleanliness in their surroundings. Every supporting activity should be documented and publicized through local mass media, social media, or official organizational websites. Coordination for implementing the instruction is delegated to MWCNU in each area.
