UKM Tapak Suci UIN Ar-Raniry Sweeps Medals at North Sumatra Open Pencak Silat Tournament 2026
BANDA ACEH - UKM Tapak Suci UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh bagged four medals at the North Sumatra Open Pencak Silat Tournament 2026, August 20–24, 2026, at the North Sumatra Provincial Government Multipurpose Building. The medals: one gold by Syahrial (Adult Male Class D), one silver by Djulianda Dirgantara (Adult Male Class F), and two bronzes by Jiddan Ihsan (Adult Male Class I) and Jumaida Anggraini (Adult Female Under 45 Class).
The contingent was also strengthened by Raihan Yusuf, Maula Adirga, Nauval Mubarak, and Agus Syahputra, accompanied by coach Ust. Yusran, S.Pd., K.Ma., a board member of PIMDA 333 Tapak Suci Aceh Besar. This participation was a chance to gauge their skills and gain more competing experience at the regional level.
This achievement shows the progress of pencak silat development within UIN Ar-Raniry, which is not only oriented toward achievement but also character and moral building, in line with Tapak Suci's principle: "With Faith and Morals We Become Strong. Without Faith and Morals We Become Weak." This result is expected to motivate athletes to keep achieving.
