President’s Electric Pedicab Aid Handed Over to Jombang Pedicab Drivers, Free Rides for Muktamirin

A total of 200 electric pedicabs donated by President Prabowo Subianto were handed over to pedicab drivers in Jombang Regency on Monday (24/8). The handover took place at the Jombang Regency Pendopo in support of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress at Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School. Jombang Regent Warsubi said the electric pedicabs will be used to help transport congress participants for free. Drivers were urged to be careful since these vehicles are comfortable and have a fast speed. The aid must not be sold or pawned. During the congress, the organizing committee provides a compensation of Rp150,000 per day for four days, totaling Rp600,000 per pedicab driver. Drivers are not allowed to charge a fare, but they can accept voluntary gifts from participants.
