I witnessed a death today, and I’m shaken and horrified

I live in a Western country, and I was driving for a rideshare service. While waiting at a red light, I suddenly heard a massive crash. The person in my car screamed loudly, and when we both looked, we saw a man lying on the road. He’d been struck by a car that sped away right after. I have no idea how or why it happened - the driver swerved left at high speed, and the pedestrian was thrown into the air, then fell and didn’t move, with blood coming from the back of his head. Ya Allah, I felt like screaming inside, but the passenger had already done it for me. May Allah grant him mercy and ease.
