Finding Hope in Dua When Life Feels Heavy
Assalamu alaikum. I never imagined I’d be in this situation. It’s been almost three years since my divorce, and I’m still drowning in debt from my previous marriage because of my ex-husband. I did everything possible to clear it, but it feels endless. I knew he was using my name for credit, and I let it happen. Maybe I thought being a devoted wife meant saying yes, or I just couldn’t set boundaries. What’s the point of having a trusting heart that sees the best in people, if it only leads to pain? These past years, I’ve been making dua and praying nonstop for relief from this mess. But how do I keep hope alive? I don’t want to doubt Allah’s mercy-I truly believe He can change everything in an instant. Yet lately, it’s hit after hit. People say Allah tests those He loves, and that’s comforting, but when do those loved ones finally feel ease? When do they get rewarded or feel the burden lift? I just want my dua answered. I need this debt to stop ruining my life. But more than anything, I’m terrified of losing hope in Allah.
