Why Western feminists don’t get the hijab: their idea of freedom is all about pleasure

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. I’ve realized that in Europe and similar places, their concept of freedom is rooted in chasing personal pleasure, not in morality or real acceptance. Take the hijab, for instance-our sisters in France are suffering terribly. There, hijabis are barred from public sports, can’t wear burkinis at the beach, are kept out of schools, and can’t work in essential fields like medicine or teaching. And every now and then, a hijabi is killed with zero media attention. The worst part is that so-called feminists talk down to hijabis, acting like we need saving from the men who supposedly force us into veiling. They speak of "women’s rights" while fueling the racism we face. To me, European feminism defines freedom not as mastering our desires to live by our beliefs, but as a tool to chase endless pleasure-basically, their motto "my freedom ends where yours begins" just means freedom has no real limits except when it clashes. They say covering up is oppressive because it stops us from enjoying some feminist ideal of "living fully," which honestly seems to mean being looked at as a sexual object. It’s shocking how they loudly support women in sex work and pornography, saying "they have every right to use their bodies," yet they can’t accept women who choose to cover. This isn’t a debate, just a thought for my sisters: don’t let it shake you when they say hijab is oppression-it’s not true.
