Finding a fair middle ground with my Muslim roommate?

Assalamu alaikum! I hope it’s okay for me to ask here, even though I’m not Muslim myself. I recently moved in with a group of six sisters renting a house together. We each have our own room, but share the kitchen and living room. One of my housemates is a Muslimah, and I really want to respect her comfort. I never drink alcohol, but about once a month I take an edible. I don’t smoke at all. When we were chatting about our boundaries, I mentioned this to her, and she’s not comfortable with me using edibles in the house. I promised her there won’t be any gummies lying around, and I’d keep to myself if I’m feeling the effects, except to grab something from the kitchen. But she’d prefer I only use them outside our home. Do you have any suggestions for a compromise? I don’t want to feel like I’m hiding in my own place, but I also truly want to be mindful of her faith and feelings.
