Concerns for Young Muslims in Western Societies

As-Salamu Alaykum, everyone. I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind-I'm a bit worried about the state of Islam among the youth in Western countries. Here in Australia, I see a lot of my Muslim peers who are Muslim more by name than by practice. They're involved in things like drinking and smoking, which are clearly not in line with our deen. Having also spent time in Europe, I noticed a similar pattern. It feels like the Western environment is really testing the iman of those between their teens and mid-twenties, pulling them away from their faith. It's disheartening to see. Let's make dua for our brothers and sisters to stay strong and grounded in Islam.
