Hey everyone, I’m thinking about embracing Islam-would I be accepted as a convert?

Assalamu alaikum. I’ve always been drawn to Islamic culture and values, and I’m not supportive of what’s happening in Palestine. I’m from the U.S. and have met some wonderful Muslims who’ve been really kind, but I’ve also faced prejudice from others, even though I don’t align with those politics. I’d really appreciate any advice or support. JazakAllah khairan for the encouragement-I’m starting to read the Quran.
