Christian Guy Wins Umrah Prize for His Neighbor in a Quran Competition
BANDA ACEH – A Christian guy in Egypt, Mina, went viral after winning a free umrah trip in a Quran knowledge competition. He joined the contest just so he could give the prize to his Muslim neighbor, Um Ali, who’d been dreaming of performing umrah for ages.
Mina happened to see the live broadcast of the competition that Um Ali was in and decided to join to boost the chances of winning. He submitted the right answer over 50 times till he eventually got picked as the winner.
Um Ali got real emotional when she found out Mina won the prize for her. Mina also witnessed the touching moment when his neighbor wiped away tears of joy. They’ve had a good neighborly bond for over 20 years now.
