Bearing heavy loads for others, feeling utterly alone, and seeking strength in Allah. Assalamu alaikum.
I’m writing this cuz I honestly don’t know where else to go, and I figured you all would get it more than anyone in my day-to-day life. Not long ago, I stayed up the whole night trying to keep someone steady during a really scary breakdown-calming them through the worst hours, giving up sleep, and doing whatever I could to make sure they weren’t facing it by themselves. But when sunrise came, I was totally drained, running on empty, and met with complete quiet from the people around me. It’s a gut-wrenching thing to see how lopsided friendships can be, and how invisible you become when the tables turn and you’re the one struggling. Folks drift off or go silent when stuff gets tough, and it hits you that people will always disappoint you eventually. Still, I know Allah watches every hidden sacrifice, every moment no one else notices. I want to turn my heart back to Him fully and find my peace in my deen instead of looking for approval or help from others, but my heart feels so heavy and worn out. For anyone who’s faced this kind of deep emotional exhaustion or felt totally cut off from their friends: how do you handle it? How do you guard your own mental energy while still trying to be a good Muslim and a kind person? Any advice, Islamic reminders, or duas would honestly mean so much right now. Jazakallah khair.
