Update on NTT M7.7 Quake Victims: 105 Dead and 179,037 Residents Still Displaced

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded that the death toll from the M7.7 earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has reached 105 people. In addition, 1,678 people were injured and 179,037 residents are still displaced. Head of BNPB Lieutenant General TNI Suharyanto delivered the update during a disaster handling meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Territorial Development Battalion in Nagekeo Regency, NTT, Wednesday (26/8/2026). BNPB recorded 81,436 houses damaged. Affected facilities include schools, mosques, and government offices.
