Touring a Number of Islamic Boarding Schools, Aceh Vice Gov Strengthens Ties with Religious Scholars
Aceh Vice Governor H. Fadhlullah, SE, went on a goodwill tour to Islamic boarding schools (dayah) in Pidie Jaya and Bireuen regencies on Wednesday (7/29/2026) to strengthen the relationship between the government and religious scholars as well as Islamic educational institutions. During the visit, the Vice Governor was accompanied by the Head of the Leadership Administration Bureau of the Aceh Secretariat, Akkar Arafat, S.STP., M.Si.
The tour started at Ma’had Aly Darul Munawarah Kuta Krueng in Pidie Jaya, where he met with the Director, Dr. H. Anwar Usman (Abiya Kuta Krueng). The meeting discussed strengthening the role of dayah in nurturing a young generation with good morals and knowledge. Next, the Vice Governor visited Dayah Tauthiatuth Thullab in Bireuen, welcomed by the Director, Tgk. H. Sofyan Mahdi (Abon Arongan), and attended the send-off for alumni who will be performing umrah.
The Vice Governor inspected the construction of educational facilities at the dayah and emphasized that dayah are important pillars for upholding Islamic sharia and shaping the character of the youth. This tour is a commitment of the Aceh Government to strengthen synergy with religious scholars for the development of superior human resources grounded in Islamic values.
