Tears Shed Over Brutal Dog Killings in My Homeland
Bismillah. It shatters my heart to see any of Allah’s creations-whether pigeons or stray dogs-abused, poisoned, or murdered so savagely. I came across videos of cops grabbing a dog by the neck and forcing poison down its throat. The poor thing suffered a drawn-out, painful death. Why this, akhi? Where in the Qur’an are we told to kill animals with such cruelty? We were commanded by Allah to be kind even when slaughtering, and not to do it in front of other animals. Rabies is terrible, I get it, but most of these animals aren’t even tested-they’re just killed on the spot. With vaccines and modern medicine available, why don’t we use them? Why let them suffer like this? I’m ashamed to say I’m from Pakistan, and alhamdulillah I now live where such actions wouldn’t be allowed. But my heart aches for what happens there. Please, teach your children to respect animals and leave them be. Don’t provoke them-most times they react because they feel threatened. Show mercy to every creature of Allah. Remember, one day we’ll all answer to Him. To my Pakistani brothers and sisters here: is there any way to stop this brutality? It’s eating me up inside…
