Seeking Peace Before a College Decision - Tips and Encouragement
Assalamu Alaikum everyone, I'm currently in the waiting period for a college decision and wanted to share some reflections on maintaining hope and Tawakkul during times of uncertainty. Alhamdulillah, I've been working to reduce stress and wanted to offer a few reminders that might help others awaiting important outcomes. 1. **Recite "Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel" often:** This phrase really helps calm anxiety because it reminds us that Allah is in control. When you entrust everything to Him, you'll start noticing His blessings everywhere. 2. **Make dua for the best outcome:** You can use phrases like "Allahumma khairun fii kulli amrin antaziruh" or simply ask Allah for what's good (Khayr) in your situation. Remember the Istikhara prayer-it's specifically designed for seeking Allah's guidance in decisions. 3. **Strengthen your Yaqeen:** Instead of thinking "this won't work out," try saying "Insha'Allah it will work out." Allah's power is limitless-He parted the sea for Prophet Musa (as) and made fire cool for Prophet Ibrahim (as). Having certainty in dua is so important. 4. **Practice Sabr with timing:** If there's a specific date for your result, try to avoid wishing time away or dreading its arrival. Trust that everything comes at its appointed time. If anyone has additional advice for staying calm during these final days of waiting, I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts!
