Rethinking what it means to come to Islam
Assalamu alaikum, I was reflecting on how everyone at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) embraced Islam just like those who come to it later in life today-they heard the message and followed it. But then it hit me: isn't that the journey for every believing Muslim? Just growing up in a Muslim family or community doesn't automatically make someone a Muslim. As we mature from childhood to adulthood and gain more awareness, even those raised Muslim have to consciously choose to hold on to their faith. That's probably why we're encouraged not to just blindly follow but to truly believe and understand. Don't get me wrong, I know the path can be tougher for those who come to Islam later-facing challenges instead of support-but it reminds me that no matter where we start, we're all walking this same path of faith together, alhamdulillah.
