New Muslim seeking guidance and support on this journey
As-salamu alaykum everyone ❤️ I just embraced Islam and I'm still finding my way, so everything feels fresh and new. I spent months learning, reflecting, and praying in my own way, and my heart kept telling me this is where I belong. Honestly, I'm overjoyed, but there's a lot to take in, and sometimes it gets a bit much. I'm working on my salah, picking up Arabic words, and trying to understand the little things that help me grow bit by bit. I don't have many Muslims around me day to day, so I'm reaching out to those who've been there: - What do you wish someone told you when you first said your shahada? - How did you handle all the learning without burning out? - Any go-to books, channels, or apps that made things click? - How did you find your people or a local community after converting? - What's one piece of advice for a new Muslim just starting out? I'd also love to hear from other converts about the feelings that come with adjusting to a new faith and identity-the ups and downs. Jazakum Allahu khairan for any words you share. Means a lot, truly ❤️
