A Heartfelt Plea for Duas and Guidance
Assalamu alaikum everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m not sure where else to go. I could really use some advice, and I’d be so grateful if you could keep me in your duas. For nearly 15 years, I’ve been holding onto the same dua. The last 3 years, I’ve really poured my heart into it. I’ve tried to get closer to Allah-praying on time, waking up for tahajjud, doing more dhikr, giving charity, repenting, everything I can think of. But I also want you to know, I haven’t just been waiting around. I’ve been working hard on this too. I’ve taken the practical steps, put in the effort, made changes where I needed to, and kept pushing forward. That’s why it hurts so much-I feel like I’m doing all I can, while still begging Allah for what only He can give. I’m just so tired. Not just emotionally, but my body and mind are worn out. These last 6 months have been especially tough, and the past few weeks have really broken me. I can’t remember when I wasn’t exhausted. My chest feels tight with heaviness, and I’m burnt out in every way. I know we’re supposed to trust Allah’s timing, and I truly believe He can do anything. I’m not doubting His power or wisdom. But honestly, I’m struggling. I keep trying to let go, but I can’t-this dua has lived in my heart so long, I keep coming back to it no matter what. Please don’t get me wrong-I know Allah answers every dua in the best way, even when we don’t see it. But I’ve hit my limit, and I don’t know how to keep carrying this weight. If you have any advice, please share. And if you can, make a sincere dua that Allah accepts my dua, gives me what’s best, eases this hardship, and grants me relief soon. I’d be so, so grateful. Jazakum Allahu khayran. May Allah accept all your duas too.
