My non-Muslim parents are the sweetest, mashallah
Assalamu alaikum. They're so sweet, may Allah bless them for their kindness and support. I pray they find guidance to Islam, Insha'Allah. I love them so much. Today they surprised me - they went to Costco Warehouse and bought a halal turkey so we could share it together for Thanksgiving. Allah has truly blessed me with the most loving parents, mashallah. My mom pulled it out of the freezer all excited to show me the halal certification badge 😭 they're just so adorable. I'm honestly so happy and grateful. I'm doing my homework in my room right now, window open because it's fresh outside, and they're in the backyard laughing and joking with each other. Thirty-five years of marriage and still so joyful. It's really beautiful to watch. I pray I can set the same example for my future children - that as long as they're making good, healthy choices, their father and I will support them and model a loving, healthy marriage, Insha'Allah. I know love marriages can be challenging in Islam, but I put my trust in Allah. I pray we all get to know a love that remains pure and playful into our 60s, still flirting, joking, and supporting our children's good paths even when they're grown. Love is such a blessing.
