Looking for Guidance on My Path to Islam

Assalamu alaikum, I'm feeling drawn to embrace Islam. I grew up Catholic and have been exploring faith more deeply lately, which led me here. While my family knows I've been questioning, I'm honestly nervous about their reaction-worried they might not take me seriously or just laugh it off. But in my heart, I believe in Allah as the one true God. Even back in my Catholic days, my trust was always more in God alone than in other concepts, if that makes sense. I've been told I'd be a sincere believer whichever path I chose, but Islam feels right for me now. I'm also on the spectrum, so expressing myself isn't always easy, but I'd really value connecting with someone who's already walking this path-just to talk and learn more. If anyone's open to offering some advice or support, I'd be so grateful.
