Seeking Guidance on the Path to Islam

Assalamu alaikum, I'm a sister who was raised in a Christian family, but faith never truly resonated with me. For the past few years, I've identified as an atheist, yet I've always felt a sense of emptiness, like I was missing a home for my heart. A few months back, I met a Muslim through work, and since then, I've felt a deep, growing attraction to Islam and its beautiful teachings. I live in an area where almost everyone is Christian, and there isn't a local Muslim community around, but I'm really eager to learn more about Islam. Honestly, I'm a bit lost on where to begin, and I worry-what if I have questions about what I read in the Quran and don't know who to ask?
