Salaam, I'm Seeking to Learn More About Islam

As a Jewish person, I've been growing more curious about Islam over the past year. I've read the Quran twice and also looked into the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I've even thought about visiting a local masjid, but I'm hesitant-I don't want to intrude in a sacred space, and I'm unsure what attire would be respectful. If anyone has guidance for someone just beginning to explore Allah's teachings, I'd really appreciate it.
