The Real Meaning of Wearing Hijab
I've been reflecting deeply on what hijab truly *signifies*, going beyond just the ظاهر (outward appearance). For me, it's more than a scarf-it's a daily reminder of the person I strive to be, even when no one is around. Some days, it feels natural and I'm filled with pride wearing it. Other times, I might feel self-conscious, face judgment, or simply get weary of having to justify my choice. What keeps me steadfast is knowing this commitment is between me and Allah. It’s not for الناس (people), not for approval, and not just about appearing modest-it’s about cultivating sincerity in my heart. Truthfully, this journey isn't flawless. I'm continuously working on my character, refining my intentions, and building consistency. Hijab didn't transform me into perfection instantly, but it has made me much more *mindful*. If you're facing challenges with hijab-whether you wear it or not-remember, you're not alone. We're all navigating this path, one step at a time. May Allah make it easy for all of us 🤍
