Liverpool FC Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusivity Through Pride Liverpool, Draws Mixed Reactions from Fans
Liverpool FC once again took part in the Pride Liverpool parade on Saturday (25/7/2026) as a show of support for equality and diversity. This move sparked disappointment among a number of supporters, including those from Indonesia, who voiced their disapproval through comments and actions like unfollowing the club's social media accounts.
Through Impact Director Rishi Jain, the club stressed that this participation isn't something new, but rather a continuation of the Red Together program that's been running for 14 years. That program aims to create an environment that accepts and respects every individual.
During the event, Liverpool FC also got the club's foundation involved in various activities, like a football tournament and a badge competition, and donated proceeds from a special collection to local charities. "We’re proud to once again support Pride Liverpool, marching alongside our colleagues, supporters, and the wider community," said Jain.
