Korea Festival in Abu Dhabi - Welcome and Join the Fun, Insha'Allah
Assalamu alaikum - Korea Festival is coming back to Abu Dhabi for two days at Umm Al Emarat Park on November 7 and 8, 3pm–10pm. The 2025 theme, Connected, supports the UAE’s Year of Community and hopes to bring people together to enjoy many aspects of South Korean culture - from food and beauty to music, dance and more.
The Korean Cultural Centre in the UAE says the festival, now in its 13th year, has become a much-loved K-culture event among local communities. We pray it will be a joyful, welcoming space for families and people of all ages and backgrounds.
What to expect:
- Interactive activities for everyone: K-beauty personal colour tips, food tastings with halal-friendly options, K-style photo spots, Korean name calligraphy, and traditional games - all family-friendly.
- K-Travel Roadshow highlights (part of the festival): travel, wellness and beauty exhibits from South Korean and UAE organisations showcasing tourism and health offerings.
- Outdoor singalong screening of the animated KPop: Demon Hunters - an opportunity for the community to enjoy the soundtrack together under the sky.
Performances and shows:
- K-pop group VVS will perform a lively set with original songs and covers from the animation. Expect energetic stage moments suitable for a family audience.
- Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team will present their precise, disciplined martial arts techniques - a great cultural display of skill and tradition.
- The Nanta non-verbal performance blends humour, rhythm and audience interaction in a kitchen-themed percussion show - lively and engaging for all ages.
- The National Gugak Centre will present traditional Korean performances like Samulnori and other rhythmic dance and percussion pieces celebrating community and cultural harmony.
Community activities:
- A contest for UAE nationals themed “My Favourite Food” will feature Emirati learners of Korean giving short Korean-language speeches, showing the growing cultural ties between our communities.
Times and highlights are spread across November 7–8 with headline performances in the evenings - check the festival schedule when you arrive. Bring the family, enjoy the food and arts, and let's celebrate respectful cultural exchange together. Insha'Allah it will be a blessed, fun event for everyone.
