KBS Now Transparent About Animal Care After Corruption Case Involving Former President Director
Perumda Kebun Binatang Surabaya (KBS) is committed to implementing information transparency after the alleged corruption case of feed and operational budgets that ensnared former President Director Choirul Anwar. Director of Operations and General Affairs Nurika Widyasanti stressed that KBS is now fully open about animal care governance. "We prioritize animal welfare, from feed intake, physical health, to mental comfort," she said on Friday (7/24).
Maintenance is carried out optimally and sustainably, including providing enrichment and direct interaction. Feed is given twice a day according to a schedule, dosage, and quality set by animal nutritionists. "Alhamdulillah, all animals are in good health and well cared for," added Nurika. The public can now directly monitor the efforts to restore animal welfare after the past financial scandal.
