Is It Okay to Say No to a Parent Who Wasn’t There Before?

Assalamu alaikum, so the title kinda sums up my whole situation, but it’s messing with my head. Basically, this is about one of my parents who left when I was just a baby. Now, after all these years, they’re trying to come back and be part of my life. I don’t wanna speak badly about them, but honestly, they’re not good people. They’ve insulted the ones who actually raised me. I forgave them even while they kept hurting me, until I finally said stop and left it all in Allah’s hands for Him to judge. But I have no desire to reconnect, take care of them, or even know who they are. Is that allowed in Islam?
