I want to embrace Islam, but I'm facing a challenge
Assalamu alaikum. I was raised in a Christian family, but after a while I started having doubts about my faith and began exploring Islam. The more I learned about it, the more I felt drawn to it. Honestly, a lot of things about Islam really speak to me, and I've come to a point where I truly want to become Muslim. But there's one thing that's been keeping me back: I have feelings for the same gender. At the same time, I do want to get married to a woman and have a family someday. That's a real desire I have for my life, but I'm struggling with how to handle my attraction to men while trying to live as a Muslim. I'm not sure how to deal with this or if someone like me can become Muslim and manage these feelings without constantly feeling like a failure. I also live in Brazil, in an area where there's no mosque close by. So I don't really have anyone to talk to about these doubts face-to-face, especially about this specific issue. I'm trying to learn about Islam seriously, but this is probably the biggest obstacle stopping me from taking that step.
