The Magnetic Flip & a Sign of the Day of Judgment: A Fascinating Connection

Assalamu alaikum everyone, I wanted to share something about the magnetic poles flipping and how it connects to a hadith. So, we know the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The directions (north, east, south, west) are basically defined as: North is where a compass points, South is the exact opposite, East is 90 degrees to the right of north, and West is 90 degrees to the left. A geomagnetic reversal is when the Earth's magnetic field flips, so the magnetic north and south poles swap places. Your compass would suddenly point south instead of north. When this happens, the Earth's magnetic field gets weaker for a while. This can make us more vulnerable to radiation from the sun, which might mess with satellites and power grids. Scientists say this has happened many times before, about every 200,000 to 300,000 years on average, and the last full flip was around 780,000 years ago. Now for the amazing part: this upcoming event is mentioned in a hadith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The Hour (the Day of Judgment) will not be established until the sun rises from the west. When it rises from the west and the people see it, then all of them will believe." This means that before the end of the world, people will witness the sun rising from the west instead of the east.
