Exciting Visit of Jason Momoa to Dubai’s Tallest Hotel and Upcoming Film Shoot in Abu Dhabi
Assalamu Alaikum! Dubai’s new record-breaking hotel, Ciel Dubai Marina, may not have officially opened its doors yet, but it has already hosted a special guest. The talented actor Jason Momoa, known for Aquaman, visited on Saturday to introduce Meili, his beverage brand. He was seen casually dressed, taking photos with staff wearing the Meili logo. This visit is part of a collaboration with The First Group Hospitality, the team managing the hotel. In other news, Jason Momoa is set to film Dune: Part Three in Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Desert later this month. The previous films, which were huge successes, were also shot there, using the stunning desert landscape to represent the fictional planet Arrakis. Alongside Momoa, stars like Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin will return, with Robert Pattinson joining the cast. A local casting agency in the UAE capital is currently inviting people to apply as extras for this high-profile movie, with filming expected between October and November. Momoa isn’t new to the UAE; in 2023, he was named chief island officer for Yas Island Abu Dhabi and appeared in several promotional videos showcasing the destination. Standing tall at 377 metres, Ciel Dubai Marina will officially become the world’s tallest hotel once it opens, surpassing the current record holder, the Gevora Hotel. Although the official opening date is not yet announced, bookings are available for stays from November 15, with prices starting at Dh2,328 per night for a deluxe room. The hotel will have 1,004 rooms across 82 floors and will be managed by the Vignette Collection brand under IHG Hotels & Resorts, known for unique properties. Ciel Dubai Marina is also set to achieve several world records, including the highest infinity pool and highest club, pending certification by Guinness World Records. These will be part of Tattu Dubai, the first international branch of the Manchester-based fine dining modern Asian restaurant chain, scheduled to open soon. Occupying three levels, Tattu Dubai will offer a main restaurant and bar on level 74, a sky pool on level 76, and a sky lounge and terrace on level 81. The sky pool at 310 metres will become the highest infinity pool, surpassing the current record at Address Beach Resort. May Allah bless these exciting developments in the UAE hospitality and entertainment sector, and may we continue to see success and opportunities in our region, Insha’Allah.
