Christina Aguilera returning to Abu Dhabi in 2026 - concert at Etihad Arena, insha'Allah
Salaam - Christina Aguilera is set to perform at Etihad Arena on Yas Island on April 24, 2026, bringing the American singer and seven-time Grammy winner back to Abu Dhabi a little over a year after her previous visit.
She played in Abu Dhabi in February 2025 as part of the Saadiyat Nights series, and was praised for her powerful live vocals. She also appeared at Expo 2020’s closing ceremony in 2022 alongside other international artists.
With nearly 100 million record sales, Aguilera is known for hits like "Genie in a Bottle," "Beautiful" and "Fighter." Her most recent studio album, Aguilera (2022), is a Spanish-language follow-up to her 2000 Latin release Mi Reflejo and won a Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
The concert is promoted by Ethara in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral. David Powell, Ethara’s chief strategy and business development officer, described the show as a major moment in Abu Dhabi’s entertainment calendar and said they look forward to giving fans across the region an unforgettable live experience.
Tickets are available now through Etihad Arena’s official channels.
A short note on heritage: Qasr Al Hosn began as a watchtower guarding the island’s freshwater well and grew over generations into a fortified palace as Abu Dhabi expanded. Several rulers contributed to its enlargement and renovation over the centuries, and it remained an important diwan until the royal residence moved to Al Manhal.
Some other brief items you might find useful:
- Money transfers: sending AED20,000 abroad can vary a lot in cost and speed depending on the bank or online service you use. Bank transfers tend to be faster but more expensive; online platforms can be cheaper but slower and expose funds to currency risk while en route.
- Practical health tips for poor air quality: use an air filter at home, keep windows closed and run AC, shower after being outside, wear a proper mask when needed, and stay indoors during severe dust storms.
- Everyday tech/finance safety: beware of phishing, smishing, vishing, SIM swap scams, identity theft and prize scams - never give sensitive banking info in unsolicited messages or calls.
Thanks for reading - hope this helps you plan if you’re thinking of going. Ma'assalama.
