Can Allah reunite two people even after they've parted ways?

As-salamu alaykum, everyone. I wanted to share something on my heart. There was someone I used to know who helped me discover Islam, and through that, I began to love the faith deeply. We were in a relationship before, which I now understand was not right, but it's what drew me closer to Allah. They ended things because I had personal struggles to work through, and it was hard on them. Since then, I've been making sincere dua every day, asking Allah for guidance. Do you think there's hope that Allah might bring us back together, now that I'm working to improve myself?
