Alhamdulillah, I Prayed Today

After being away from Islam for five years, by the grace of Allah, I've returned. There's a deep sense of peace in making dua, and while I still have some questions, insha'Allah I'll work through them. Please make dua that Allah keeps me steadfast on the straight path. I'm trying to take things gently this time-not to overwhelm myself, as that was part of why I struggled before. I'm striving to increase my taqwa and fear of Allah as much as I can. Today, I prayed my first salah, and it truly felt like coming home.
