Aceh Vice Governor Opens 2026 All-Aceh MPU Coordination Meeting for Synergy and Community Policy

Aceh Vice Governor Fadhlullah officially opened the 2026 All-Aceh Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) Coordination Meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The coordination meeting was attended by MPU chairs from regencies/cities across Aceh, MPU members, and related stakeholders. Fadhlullah emphasized that MPU holds an important position in Aceh's governance system, not only as an advisory body, but also as a guardian of Islamic Sharia values and a moral guide for the community. He stated that in this era of rapid change, the role of ulama is crucial as a calming and unifying force. The Vice Governor also highlighted that the meeting's theme 'The Strategic Role of the MPU Institution as an Implementative Form of Aceh's Special Autonomy' is relevant to current conditions.
