Aceh Social Agency Urges Civil Servants to Use WFH for Friday Charity, Targets 2,700 Rice Packs Distributed Each Week
Banda Aceh – The Aceh Social Agency (Dinsos) is encouraging civil servants (ASN) across Indonesia to take advantage of the work-from-home (WFH) policy to expand social action through the Friday Charity program. The program has now entered its fourth week, with thousands of rice packs distributed in Banda Aceh.
Aceh Social Agency Secretary, Michael Octaviano, said that WFH can be an opportunity to increase social awareness. "The spirit of serving and being present in the community can still be carried out, one way is through sharing activities like Friday Charity," he said. ASN are urged to distribute rice packs to those in need, such as becak drivers, street cleaners, street children, and residents of social homes.
In the fourth week, distributions took place at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, in front of Barata, and at RSUDZA Banda Aceh. Michael aims for the participation of all regional organizations (OPD) and SKPA so that around 2,700 rice packs can be distributed every Friday. He hopes this movement inspires ASN in other regions to regularly engage in social action and strengthen mutual cooperation.
