A Teacher's Consideration During Ramadan
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I'm a teacher and this year I have a Muslim student for the first time. She mentioned fasting for Ramadan, and I'm trying my best to be supportive, though I admit I'm not very familiar with Islamic practices. In my classroom, I give out cookies when all students pass a test, and they earned them recently! I plan to bring the cookies this week and want to include her respectfully. Since she's fasting during the day, is it okay for me to pack her cookies separately so she can take them home to enjoy after iftar in the evening? I want to recognize her hard work without interfering with her fast. JazakAllah khair for any advice, and Ramadan Mubarak!
