A beautiful duaa to include in your prayers - salam
Assalamu alaikum - I want to share a very beautiful duaa you can repeat in your salah. This is one of the great supplications that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) used to make. First, he says (from Surah Ibrahim): رب اجعلني مقيم الصلاة و من ذريتي “O Allah, make me steadfast in establishing prayer and make from my offspring those who do the same.” Here Ibrahim isn’t asking only for himself; he asks for his children and future generations to be constant in prayer. The next verse: ربنا و تقبل دعاء “O our Lord, accept this duaa.” Even though he was a prophet, Ibrahim didn’t rely only on his deeds - he humbly asked Allah to accept his supplication. That reminds us that worship isn’t complete without Allah’s acceptance, and acceptance is entirely from Him. He also says: ربنا اغفرلي و لوالدي و للمؤمنين “Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers.” This duaa is full of mercy: he begins by seeking forgiveness for himself, then for his parents, and then includes all believers. And finally: يوم يقوم الحساب - “On the Day the account is established.” A strong reminder that on the Day of Judgment we will need forgiveness above all. Wealth, status, family, or children won’t benefit anyone on that day - only faith and righteous deeds will. Try making this duaa part of your regular prayers - it’s short, profound, and covers you and your loved ones. JazakAllah khair.
