When heartbreak becomes a window to His mercy
My heart is shattered and I’m in so much pain, but honestly, the only thing keeping me from losing my mind is knowing that Allah SWT is still with me, even though I’m far from perfect. I just pour out all my sadness and grief to Him. And I swear, even in this brokenness, I can see His mercy-because He is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem. There’s a deep wisdom in this struggle, even if I can’t wrap my head around it. It’s overflowing with His love and kindness. Like Yusuf (AS) said after everything he went through-the well, being sold, the false accusation, prison-that his Lord had always been so good to him, I feel that. My Lord has always been good to me too. And Ayub (AS), sick for years, still said, “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful” (Surah Al-Anbiya 21:83). Allah, You really are the Most Merciful. Think about our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ going to Taif, getting insulted and stoned, bleeding, and still making du’a: “As long as You are not displeased with me, I don’t care what I face.” Ya Rabb, as long as You’re not unhappy with me, I don’t mind this pain. I’m thankful for all You’ve given me, Allah. It’s so much, more than I can even count, and You keep giving even though I keep messing up. So forgive me, my Lord, the Most Merciful of the merciful.
