The Blessings of Jumu'ah

Assalamu alaikum, ya ikhwan, I wanted to share some beautiful reminders about Friday, the best day. The Prophet ﷺ said: Friday is the most excellent day. It's when Adam (as) was created, when he entered Jannah, and when he was sent down to earth-a mercy for us, really. And Qiyamah will happen on a Friday too. (Sahih Muslim) He ﷺ also said there's a special moment on Friday where if a believer makes dua, Allah will surely answer it. (Bukhari, Muslim) He told us to send lots of salawat on Fridays, because our salams reach him, even after his passing-since Allah has forbidden the earth to ever consume the bodies of the prophets. (Abu Dawood) In Tirmidhi, it's mentioned that the "witness" in the Quran refers to Friday, and it's greater than any other day. On that day, there's an hour where no servant asks for good except Allah grants it, and no one seeks refuge from harm except Allah protects him. Ibn Majah narrates that Friday is the 'mother' of all days, and to Allah it's more significant than Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. And subhanAllah, a Muslim who dies on Friday night or during Friday is saved from the punishment of the grave. (Tirmidhi) On a Friday, the Prophet ﷺ told the Sahabah: O Muslims, Allah has made this day an Eid for you, so take a bath, wear perfume if you have it, and use miswak. (Ibn Majah) Now, the virtues of Jumu'ah prayer: The Prophet ﷺ said whoever bathes on Friday, cleans himself well, oils his hair, puts on perfume, then goes to the masjid without pushing people aside, prays as much nafil as he can, and listens quietly to the khutbah-his sins between that Jumu'ah and the previous one are forgiven. (Bukhari) He also said that walking to Jumu'ah early, not riding, and avoiding foolish acts during the khutbah earns a reward for every step: a year's worth of fasting and praying. (Tirmidhi) Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah (ra) heard the Prophet ﷺ warn: People should not abandon Jumu'ah, or else Allah will seal their hearts and they'll become heedless. (Muslim) Missing three Jumu'ahs without a valid reason leads to a seal on the heart. (Tirmidhi) Ibn Abbas (ra) narrated that whoever neglects Jumu'ah without excuse is written as a hypocrite in a permanent record-unless they repent and Allah forgives them out of His mercy.
