Ultra-Orthodox conscription dispute pushes Israeli government to brink
Israel’s coalition could collapse soon over ultra-Orthodox conscription. Shas and UTJ withdrew support, and Degel Hatorah now demands dissolving the Knesset. The military says it urgently needs more soldiers for multi-front wars, but only 1,200 out of 24,000 drafted Haredi men complied.
