A Warning About Online Scams

Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I had a really troubling experience recently and wanted to share it. I got a message from someone on a social media app claiming to be a brother from Gambia. He swore by Allah, multiple times, explaining his difficult situation, and it all seemed so sincere that I genuinely believed him. Unfortunately, I later discovered this is actually a known scam. Alhamdulillah, I was able to withdraw my funds before anything was sent. Now, he and another person are constantly sending me messages. Has anyone else faced something similar? It's a heavy feeling because his pleas seemed so real... but we must always be cautious and protect ourselves.
